Who is Upscale Dance Productions?
Muli-talented dancers united in August 1997 and formed Upscale Dance
Productions. Collectively, their flair for dancing and style of instruction spans over 20 years. The members have
been performing and demonstrating their dancing abilities as early as the 70's and have been instructing dance classes since
the late 80's
Our Mission
To preserve various forms of Detroit social
dance styles through an educational process, while upholding the dance era of the
40's, 50's 60's . . .
Our Philosophy
To energize and release the expression of dance;
to introduce to society various social dances;
to bring about a positive social environment;
and, to keep Detroit's dance era alive.
The Era Is Back . . .
Ballroom, Bop, Latin Hustle, Graystone, Swing Dancing and Line Dances.
Coordinated hand and foot movements are taught to upbeat and moderate
tempos. The music is reflective of the dance style and era in which it evolved.
Enjoy these elegant and exciting dance forms while learning a part
of Detroit's history.
Upscale Dance Productions has merged together the various styles
of Detroit dancing from the past, to today's hip-hop encouraging all to learn together while dancing to the sounds of jazz,
rock, rhythm and blues.

A mature group of individuals in a friendly environment. Places
where professionals gather to dance, relax, enjoy good company and have fun.

spritual well-being and good health.

Saturday afternoon dance lessons Graystone, Ballroom, Bop and Latin Hustle - $8 per person, wear hard bottom shoes
(no rubber soles) from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. located at:
